Recent Activities


Today we met Neil Busby Archivist/Treasurer of Thrapston Historical Society to share photographs and experiences.   Thrapston Historical Society have been established for over 25 years and Neil kindly offered on-going advice and support.

8th April 2013

 Founder members of THA met Maggy Chapman of the Titchmarsh Jubilee  Committee to discuss the contribution that Titchmarsh History Association might make to the village information board; which the Jubilee Committee are introducing providing for the village, using profits from Jubilee celebrations.

3rd March 2013

 Ian Curtis interviewed Susan Andrews (Sheila Holland’s daughter).  They discussed the recorded memoirs of her grandmother, Edna Mayes, to which Susan added some memories of her own.  She also left a copy of the memoirs for us to retain in the archive.

 Ian has been working with the school during January and February:- (1) devising reference materials for children in their project on World War 2 and (2) identifying historical resources for a bid to become an Eco-school.
