14 October: Ian received from Derek Cullum, who used to live in the village, a copy of the daybook for a local farm dating from around the war years. A fascinating record of an industry undergoing rapid change.
16 October: Sad to hear of the death of long term resident Cecil Walker who has been a key source of information in collecting the oral histories. Good though, that we were able to present him on the day before he died with a copy of the book written from the material he had helped collect.
25 October: Miss Steward from Rushden presented us with six volumes of the parish magazines from the late 1800s and early 1900s. An invaluable resource.
